Necropsy Results: Gross necropsy revealed severe respiratory infection, lungs hemmorhagic. Body was sent for full laboratory culture and workup to determine if the cause of death was infectious. Jack turned out to have a small histocystic sarcoma inside the chambers of his heart, which caused his lungs to fill with fluid and infect. This cancer is not considered a genetic defect by the pathology rat lab that did the workup.
