Purpose: Our Marked line has been slowly dwindling in actual markings due to the highly self-bred line that I started with. We began the Marked line with a single blazed berkshire buck, and are down to producing Irish with the occasional low-marked Berkshires. As our intention is to produce good Russian Blue Berkshires, we are going back a generation and breeding Sonja to her uncle, Fin. While Fin's Odd-eyes do make him a risky marking, his pedigree is well known and documented, and we have not seen any megacolon or other issues in the line so far. The litter and its decendants will be carefully monitored.
